allörio was born out of necessity. My youngest struggled with eczema, and as her mother, her struggles became mine.
We found that her sensitive skin was further irritated if she wore clothing that was itchy or uncomfortable. This led me on a quest to answer a crucial question: What clothing is safest for children's skin? The answer was simple—clothing made of natural fibers using skin-safe dyes, while also being sustainable, was best for both the kids and the planet.
The journey to create skin safe clothing wasn't easy. It took months of product development, extensive testing, and countless prototypes to get the fit, color, and design just right. As a mom, I aimed to design clothing that was safe for my children's skin, free from harmful chemicals, with fun colors and prints, and could be easily laundered with other clothes while enduring multiple washes.
As a steward of the planet, I wanted to ensure our clothing followed sustainable practices, was manufactured under equitable work conditions, and was biodegradable. It's a tall order, I know, but I'm thrilled to say that as a product-centric, eco-conscious company, our products meet all of these criteria. They're not only great for kids but also for the planet.
